Trump Shocks The World And Wins The Presidency

There is officially a new President in the White House now, after a long election year. The new President is Donald Trump and half the country is excited and the other half is pissed off. Donald Trump was able to defeat Hillary Clinton, in the 2016 Presidential Election. Everyone has heard his slogan "Make America Great Again." Now we will really get to see if he can turn the country around and unite a country that needs it more than ever right now. The USA has not been more divided ever before, than we are right now, so we need help and a great leader.

One by one, as the late vote count mounted in the early hours Wednesday, Trump dealt repeated blows to Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, by storming through battleground states: Florida, Ohio, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and then Wisconsin. Clinton lost to Trump fair and square, but she was still very upset after the loss. Trump says he congratulated Clinton on a hard fought campaign and she was a great opponent.

"I pledge to be president for all Americans," the billionaire real-estate mogul and reality TV star told an enthusiastic crowd of supporters in New York, after his victory was confirmed. "We are going to rebuild our inner cities... We will rebuild our infrastructure, which will become second to none." He also pledged to create jobs and take care of veterans. Trump says he wants to unite the country and will do anything he can to do so in the next four years. On Wednesday morning, President Obama called the president-elect "to congratulate him on his victory" and invite him to the White House on Thursday to discuss the transition, the White House said in a statement.
