Belfort spent 22 months in prison for pleading guilty to fraud and related crimes in connection with stock-market manipulation and running a boiler room as part of a penny-stock scam. He must have paid back all of his debt because his net worth is $100 million dollars.
Johnny Unitas

Johnny Unitas was a professional football player who spent most of his NFL career on the Colts. For 52 years he held the record for most consecutive games with a touchdown pass. Suddenly in 2002, he passed away of a heart attack. Poor guy.
Willie Nelson

Everyone loves Willie Hugh Nelson, singer, songwriter, country artist, he's amazing. He now lives in Maui, Hawaii, in a largely self-sustaining community where all the homes use only solar power. He's living it up down there! Even though he's been arrested several times for marijuana possession, he's still Willie.

That's an insane amount of money. He lost most of it because...why do you think? Scott Eyre was a left handed pitcher for the Phillies, somewhat rare to have a left handed pitcher. Eyre was one of the victims of the $8 billion fraud perpetrated by wealth manager Allen Stanford. Can you imagine being apart of that, losing your entire fortune because of someone else? Wow.

Allen is a former finance and sponsor of professional sports who is serving a 110-year prison sentence for being apart of what was one of the largest ponzi schemes. Allen was the chairman of the now defunct Stanford Financial Group of Companies until they got busted for fraud. What ever happened to the good ol way of making money?

Björgólfur was Iceland's second businessman worth more than a billion dollars, his son was the first. In the 1990s he was sentenced to 12 months in prison, suspended for 2 years for some bookkeeping offences and faced around 450 charges. After that, he went to Russia, remade a fortune and went back to Iceland.
Kim Dotcom

Kim received a two-year suspended sentence for computer fraud and data espionage because he was underage in 1994 and again in 1995 similar charges including embezzlement. In 2012, the New Zealand Police busted in his home and placed him in custody in response to the US charges. He was accused of costing the entertainment industry $500 million through unlicensed content uploaded to Megaupload which had 150 million registered users. He's now fighting the charges.
