Boomslang Snake

One thing is for sure, if you are somewhere where you come across a deadly animal, most likely, you won't even know they are deadly. Although you may hate snakes or spiders or whatever, you may not even think about how they could take your life in the matter of seconds. It's scary when you think about it, like snakes are sneaky, can slither up to you without even hearing them, sharks are under water and you can't see them coming. Always know your surroundings! Check out some of the top 20 most dangerous animals in the world.

The average adult boomslang is 3 1/4 to 51/4 feet long. The eyes are always large, and the head has an egg-like shape. Coloration is very different between male and female; males are light green with black or blue scale edges, but adult females may be brown. The boomslang is native and restricted to Sub-Saharan Africa. So, unless you're in Africa, you're clear from this one.

Box Jellyfish

This deadly animal is known for killing more people every year than sharks, crocodiles combined, this box of death has been labeled “world’s most venomous animal.” Its venom is so potent in fact, that in some cases treatment consists of little more than last minute CPR. Although the notably dangerous species of box jellyfish are largely restricted to the Indo-Pacific region, different types of box jellyfish can be found in tropical and subtropical oceans, including the Atlantic Ocean and the east Pacific Ocean.

Black Mamba

One of the most feared snakes in the world, some experts have even called it “death incarnate.” In Africa it is the source of numerous myths and legends and it is known for being highly aggressive, very fast, and attacking without provocation. Watch yourself.

Saltwater Crocodile

Sitting at the top of the food chain, the Saltwater Crocodile has been known to eat everything from a buffalo to an entire shark. In order to kill its food it make use of a technique called the “death roll” where it continuously flips its prey over and over in the water until it drowns and then comes apart. Just another reason I don't like the ocean!

Carpet Viper

This snake is responsible for most of snake related deaths in the world, this viper uses a hemotoxin similar to that of the boomslang we spoke of before. Unfortunately most of the bites occur in areas that lack modern medical hospitals and treatments so the victims slowly bleed to death over the course of several weeks. Whoa, what a way to go, huh? No thank you.

Cape Buffalo

Sometimes distinguishing between furry cuteness and pure destruction is not an easy task. This animal has never been domesticated, therefore, it does not like humans. All throughout Africa it is known as the “widow maker” or “black death” and is responsible for more deaths every year than any other large animal on the continent.

They really have the capacity to display spurts of rage and have even engaged in activities that have been interpreted as vindictive. They are so much like Polar Bears, Komodo Dragons are not picky eaters at all. They will eat anything from birds to buffalo to humans and they have even been known to dig up bodies from shallow graves. The only reason their human kill count is so low is due to lack of interaction and also that they only really need to eat once a month.

Blue Ringed Octopus

Third thing from the ocean, I'm so glad I stay out of the water! It's about the size of a golf ball, don’t let its small size trick you either, it holds enough venom to kill 26 full grown adults and as you may have guessed, there is no antidote. If you ever get bit by this, you better be with someone who knows CPR because you have minutes until you stop breathing.

I never liked the ocean ever since Jaws really. Scares me to death actually and I live in Florida. No great whites here but, there are sharks. Did you know that they can't tell between edible and non-edible and that's why they "taste" everything. They sample buoys, boats, surfboards, humans, anything that floats. Even though everyone says they like humans, they really don't.
