I Love Lucy is another one that comes to mind when you think of the classics! The show was shot in black and white but later on in color. Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz were the meat and potatoes of the "I Love Lucy Show." With Lucy's antics it must have been a hoot to be on the set. Here you can see her fiery hair and piercing blue eyes as well as Desi's charming good looks! A show that has remained a classic!

What a nice action shot. The cast gathers around the Christmas tree in this shot which was taken in 1953. It's amazing how four adults can have so much companionship for one another after working together for years. Another reason why I think the show was such a success.

In this episode "Celebrity Next Door," Tallulah Bankhead joins the fun. When Bankhead moves next door Lucy reacts as she typically would and chaos follows. One famous quote from Bankhead, "When Miss Bankhead is bored, Miss Bankhead will let you know." There was no shortage of sass on the screen.

This shot is from is from the "Lucy meets Bob Hope," episode taped in 1956. She tries everything to get in to meet Bob Hope. Ultimately trying to get Bob Hope to come to the grand opening of Club Babalu. She even shouts "I'm Ricky Ricardo's wife!" To no avail Lucy dresses like a ball player and a hot dog vendor in the process in order to try to meet Bob Hope.

Ricky was trying to succeed in show business with his band. Lucy would always try to help but somehow manage to stir things up. She also had the same cry which I think everyone knew to love over time. The show has remained a classic and still airs today.

What an outfit! Lucy had killer style and it is clearly portrayed in every episode. Here is an awesome shot form "Lucy Goes to Mexico." Good thing there weren't any bulls on set because who knows what would have happened.

Although the show ended almost 60 years ago, it still holds strong. Fans can watch full episodes on CBS as well as stream it on Hulu, or purchase it on Amazon. Since the show has ended a colorized version of its Christmas episode attracted more than 8 million viewers in 2013 (62 years after the show premiered). Episodes randomly are still being released in color.

The show follows Lucy Ricardo, played by Lucille Ball who is the wife of Cuban bandleader Ricky Ricardo, played by Desi Arnez. The two live in New York, and try to get through life. Getting through life isn't easy when you have Lucy Ricardo on your team as she only adds to the chaos. Lucy was easily a character favorite.

The two had chemistry on and off screen. As you can see in this shot Desi just admires Lucy, which is displayed in the show as well. The show ran from 1951 to 1957 and has remained one of the favorites today. Oddly enough, when it aired no one new just how much viewers would love the show.

The Connecticut home set changed up the vibe of the show a bit. The show is often regarded as one of the most influential sitcoms of all time. In 2012 it was even voted the 'Best TV Show of All Time' in surveys conducted by ABC News and People Magazine. I sure do Love Lucy.

Here's the little family that they grew to have throughout the filming of the show. Little Ricky joined the cast a few years later. Oddly enough he actually has a striking resemblance to Ricky! So much love in one photo.

Keeping Lucille Ball out of trouble was like finding a needle in a haystack - impossible. While she may mean the absolute best, things always took a turn for the worst. Which inevitably drove Ricky crazy! However, love trumps hate and they remained strong in their marriage.

So here is a good example of how the show was shot. Even though it was in black and white the crew paid a lot of attention to details. Like in this photo Lucy's lipstick was red and the men wore colorful suits. Makes you wonder why they even bothered to put so much detail into their wardrobes with no color being able to be shown.
