Pernille Blume was born in Herlev, Denmark. She is a twenty-two year old stunner. Blume began by competing in five different events for the Danish team. She specializes in freestyle and medley races. She is competing in the Rio Olympics in the 50 m freestyle, 100 m freestyle, the 4 x 100 m freestyle relay, and the 4 x 100 m medley relay.

Federica Pellegrini is an Italian swimmer from Mirano, a province of Venice. Pellegrini has a modern pixie cut that accentuates her button nose and brown eyes. She is the first female Italian to become an Olympic champion. She is also the first woman ever to breach the four-minute mark in the 400 m freestyle. She is currently dating fellow swimmer, Filippo Magnini.

Cate Natalie Campbell is a twenty-four year old swimmer from Blantyre, Malawi who swims for the Australia National team. She began competitive swimming around the age of nine. Campbell’s family moved from Malawi to Australia in 2001 where she completed her secondary studies at Kenmore State High School in Queensland. Cate’s sister, Bronte is also an Olympic swimmer and the two competed in the same event at the 2012 Summer Olympics.

Francesca Jean Halsall, otherwise known as “Fran,” is a twenty six year old Olympic swimmer from Southport, England. Halsall specializes in the freestyle, butterfly and medley races. In 2010 at the Commonwealth Games in New Delhi, India Halstall was racing in the 100-metre freestyle race when she got very ill, she still won the bronze medal, but was expected to win the gold prior to illness. Only twenty minutes later, she returned for the 100-metre butterfly semi-finals despite being sick and weak but was unable to make it to the final round.

Missy Franklin is a standout 6 ft 2 in competitive swimmer from California. Franklin swims for the United States National Team. Franklin began swimming as a child because her parents were worried about water safety. Both of Franklin’s parents are Canadian and Franklin holds dual citizenship for America and Canada. Franklin debuted at the 2012 Summer Olympics at the age of 17 where she won a total of five medals, four of which were gold.
