Patriots Coach Bill Belichick Sends Letter to Donald Trump

The Patriots Head Coach, Bill Belichick, has always been a man of few words, but when he does say something, people listen. He is a natural leader and his on field accomplishments speak for themselves in that aspect. Coach Belichick recently said he has known and respected Trump for years. “Our friendship goes back many years,” Belichick said at a news conference. “Anybody who spends more than five minutes with me knows I’m not a political person. My comments are not politically motivated. I have a friendship with Donald.”

Anytime you are in the North East and have the full support of both Bill Belichick and Tom Brady, that is instantly going to earn you support. Trump had both Patriot future hall-of-famers on his side throughout the whole election process. Trump told supporters at a New Hampshire rally on Monday night that he had the support of both Belichick and Tom Brady. Belichick sent a letter to Trump voicing his support for the candidate and said he hoped to see Trump in the White House soon. Maybe his New England Patriots will be the first NFL team to visit Trump in the White House next year, if they can win another Super Bowl.

Here is what Coach Belichick had to say about writing a letter to Trump. “I write hundreds of letters and notes every month. It doesn’t mean I agree with every single thing a person thinks about politics, religion and other subjects,” Belichick said. “I have multiple friendships that are important to me. That’s what that is all about. It’s not about politics. It’s about football. We have a huge football game this week against a great team, a great organization. That’s where it all is going forward.” People have since asked Belichick about the letter and like always the coach has already moved on to his opponent this coming weekend. It is good for Trump to have these types of supporters, especially people who actually listen when others talk and people who are honest.
