Solange Knowles Cancels International Festival Dates to Focus on Family

Recording artist, fashionista and many other things, Solange Knowles is also the sister of Beyonce. Solange was born on June 24, 1986 in Houston, Texas. She has been in the news quite a bit regarding a particular elevator incident in which she was caught on camera attacking her sister’s husband, Jay Z. But more recently, on November 16, 2014 Knowles married music video director, Alan Ferguson in New Orleans, Louisiana. She has now decided to slow things down in order to focus on her family. Unfortunately for fans, cancelling her tour is the byproduct of this new, more family oriented life plan.
Solange made headlines months ago on a not-so-positive tip. Video footage of her altercation with brother-in-law Jay-Z took to the social media world, and rumors about trouble in paradise began to circulate. It seems her only troubles these days are managing time with her son and new husband.
She states on her official web page that she needs to be focused on transitioning her son to a new school, and that her mental and emotional peace depended on her tough decision to do what was best. She added, “I am so so sooooo sorry if I’ve disappointed… and really hope to make it out to those special cities soon enough!”
It is a ton of pressure on anyone’s shoulders to be the living, breathing sibling of the ever popular Queen Beyonce, so we are assuming with all of this stress and such a famous name to uphold, perhaps this is the most positive thing she could do for herself. The 28-year-old must have too much on her plate as she was suffering from a hives break-out after her wedding reception in New Orleans. Congratulations on the wedding and we respect you being responsible for you and your family!
