Kim Jong-il was the communist leader of North Korea from 1994 to 2011. He came into power after his father Kim ll-sung passed away from a stroke. When Kim Jong-il was leader the country was filled with famine and most of the civilians rights were taken away. This became one of the most secret operating countries in the world when he came in power, he also boosted the North Korean Army making it a stronger military.

Vladimir Lenin

Vladimir Lenin was one of the main heads in starting the communist party in Russia during the early 1920's, by 1922 Lenin was the communist leader and made Russia become to the Soviet Union. There was a big civil war when Lenin tried to take power of the government from former tsarist generals and admirals, during this time an estimated 9 million people died from the civil war.

This is Koki Hirota who was the Prime Minister of Japan from 1936 to 1937, he would be appointed by the Emperor of Japan. Americans intercepted a message saying that Koki was aware of the atrocities happening in China and notable joked about it. Many incidents like this one led to Koki being executed after the surrender of Japan for holding back information that would prevent many atrocities.

Kaiser Wilhelm II

Kaiser Wilhelm II was the last emperor of Germany, his reign last from 1888 to 1918. Unfortunately this German leader was not the best at his job, his inability to control the military and announce simple commands was an ever growing problem. After WWI the German country decided that they didn't need an emperor anymore, so they abdicated him without his consent. He then took a train to the Netherlands and there he spent the rest of his days.

Ho Chi Minh

Ho Chi Minh was Vietnam's head of state during and before the Vietnam War, was also know to be the one who spread communism in North Vietnam. Also know as "Uncle Ho", he was a very inspirational leader but unfortunately a lot of Vietnamese died under his vision for communism. He ended up dying in 1969 and four years later the US withdrew from Vietnam completely.

Chiang Kai-shek

This man served as the leader of the Republic of China between 1928 to 1975. Many Chinese people died under this man's reign, there were also many conflicts and wars that also happened during his rule. Around 20 million people perished just in two civil wars that broke out, not including the other wars that raged throughout Asia. Although being a ruthless leader, Chiang made China advance in wealth and military.

Kim II Sung

Kim II Sung was the founder of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea also know as North Korea. He was the leader of North Korea from 1948 till his death in 1994, his son Kim Jong-il took his spot as leader after his death. Many conflicts between other countries and famines ended up leaving millions to die. During the Korean War around 3 million were killed, that was one of the atrocities that were carried out. By far one of the worst dictators to rule a country.

Mengisto Haile Mariam

Mengisto Haile Mariam was the communist dictator that governed Ethiopia between 1974 to 1991. He was involved with the Ethiopian Red Terror/Somalian-Ethiopian War which led to many Ethiopians dying. He also saw the end of the Solomonic dynasty and was to blame for the 1984 Famine. Mengisto ended up fleeing the country in 1991 and was given asylum in Zimbabwe leaving most of his advisers and followers to rot in jail or die.

Omar al-Bashir

Omar al-Bashir is the seventh president of Sudan, who came to power in 1989. He has been elected three times and is being accused of corruption, he is the only president to be indicted by the International Criminal Court for directing of genocides in Darfur. Millions have died because of this man's actions and sadly he is still the president of Sudan, we will not know how much more damage he will do to this country.

Saddam Hussein

Saddam Hussein was the fifth president of Iraq who acted more like a dictator than a leader. He rose to power in 1979 and was a brutal dictator for around 20 years. He was responsible for hundreds of thousands of deaths, including genocides, chemical attacks and supporting Jihadists. After American forces captured Saddam they gave him over to the Iraqi government where he was put on trail. He was sentenced to death for crimes against humanity.

Enver Pasha was the Ottoman Empire's Prime Minister from 1914 to 1918. Although not the worst of the other leaders on this list, but under his command he lost many soldiers for the two wars he fought when he was in command. After the end of WWI, Enver dismissed his position and fled into exile with a couple of other high officials. He was accused of leading his country into war without a good reason and forcing Armenians out of the country.

Yakubu Gowon

Yakubu Gowon was the third Head of State of Nigeria between 1966 to 1975. He successfully prevented Biafran secession during the Nigerian Civil War. He was overthrown due to his actions of not supporting civilian rule, so the people and his military advisers got sick of it. Also the death toll that he had on his head was around 1.1 million civilians and 100,000 soldiers.

Pol Pot

Pol Pot was the leader of the communist party of Cambodia, he wanted to cleanse the country of anti-communists which resulted in 1.8 to 2.5 million lives lost. He also forced people who lived in the city to the farms and vice versa, this made the Cambodians very angry. He ended up killing himself because he became aware that someone was going to hand him over to the Americans.

Joseph Stalin which stood for Man of Steel was one of the most ruthless dictators to rule a country. Stalin came into power in 1924 after the death of his role model Vladimir Lenin and was know to kill off some of his competition in the process. Stalin was responsible for 23 million deaths from racial purges, civil wars, the Ukrainian famine and many other atrocities. When the Germans attacked Russia, Stalin was not the greatest leader to have, in his leadership he lost 23.9 million people.

Yahya Khan

Yahya Khan was the third president of Pakistan that was in power between 1969 to 1971. In 1971 a conflict occurred between the central government and the Awami Party which led to an Indian invasion of East Pakistan. During this crisis thousands were killed and around 1 million East Pakistani refugees were left without homes. Yahya was replaced by Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, who put him on house arrest after he came to power.

Leopold II

Leopold II was the king of the Belgians from 1865 to 1909, he wanted to see his country as an imperial power in Europe so he started colonizing parts of Africa. Leopold ended up colonizing the Congo, naming it the Congo Free State and claimed it to be his property to all nations. During his time in the Congo he was not favored by the local people around 10 million were killed due to famine. Leopold relinquished his ownership of the Congo and it became the Belgian Congo.

Adolf Hitler was the Fuhrer of Germany between 1933 to 1945, he was the man who started World War II and was the evil overseer of the Holocaust. Hitler is one of the worst dictators in history, he led many Germans to their deaths and convinced the whole country to believe in his ideologies. Hideki Tojo was the Prime Minister of Japan during World War II and was responsible for the attack on Pearl Harbor and the start of war between Japan and US. He was in charge of all the Japanese forces in the Pacific and was know to be a brutal leader. Most of the Japanese soldiers were trained to die and would do anything for their country. During his rule around 4 million people died in war and from civilians being killed. He was later tried and convicted of war crimes and was hung to death.

Mao Zedong was the communist dictator of China between 1945 to 1976, he was labeled was one the worst dictators having one of the highest death records in his rule. Around 80 million people were killed because of this ruler's actions. During his first four years around 20 million were killed because they were in the way of his vision. Many other atrocities were carried out for this man to keep power, one of the most power hungry individuals to walk this earth.

William II was the last emperor of Germany that ruled between 1888 to 1918, not so much as a dictators then the rest but the actions that he took led to many deaths putting him in a half dictator half emperor. He decided to make war in WWI with the Allied powers, this led to many causualties during the war around 38 million people lost their lives. Germany started turning against him towards the end of the war and stepped down when WWI ended in 1918.
